Durga Puja Arrival

"Bhai Raktim asche!"
Arey bhai Dhruv shunechis amader Bhai Raktim asche ebar Puja te...."
Dhurv where are you shouted Ravi with excitement.

Dhruv: "Oh! What a pleasant surprise.... At least after 5 years he remembered us at least."
Ravi: "Yes, at last he's coming to Kolkata for 2 weeks."
Dhruv: "Then WhatsApp him and make out the plans for Puja."
Ravi: "I already did!"
Plans were made. Dates were fixed and finally Raktim arrived. His mother was aged 68 and his father passed away 2 years back but he was unable to come in his father's funeral due to his office contract. However his mother Seema was greatly affected and shocked by not getting her son by her side at that time.
Her mother cooked a lot of items "Chingri Macher Malai Kar, Deradun chaler bhaat, Kosha Mangsho, Doi Katla, Ilish Bhapa, Chutney"and so on...

Nevertheless he was very happy to see his mother,  his friends waiting for his arrival. Everyone greeted him with joy. The mood was of Durga Puja and his return made it more special for his close ones. He gifted her mother a costly saree. Her mother hugged him tight and cried. Emotions from her heart bursted out all at once. Distance doesn't makes a person weak. Ignorace, improper care, love, affection makes a person weak. Her mother looked more aged, weak than she was.
Sending money monthly doesn't fulfils the responsibilities of a son towards his family.

#Panchami : All of the three friends hanged out for Pandal Hopping. Raktim missed Calcutta a lot but his job gave him no other option. Everything went well this day.

#Sosti : Raktim took his mother out for Pratima Darshan. Her mother was so much happy to spend some time with her son after such a long time. Tears rolled down her cheeks and like this the day ended.

#Saptami : Raktim had an conference call over Skype from his office so he cancelled all the plans that day.

#Ashtami : He took his mother to the Puja Pandal for anjuli. He decided to spent that day with his mother. He took her to a restaurant for lunch and dinner too.

#Namomi : Eating too much of foods from outside caused a stomach problem and lead to loose motion. However he enjoyed the Puja sitting at his home. Nevertheless the plan of the next day kept him awake the whole night.

#Dashomi : He just waited for this day. He took a Zoom car on rent and went to meet his college friends. They decided to drink, party and enjoy the whole night. There he came to see a girl in flash. She was his collegemate,Nandini whom he never ever noticed much before. He fell in love at first sight. When he came to know that she has a boyfriend. He started drinking more. Shots upon shots.

He was drunk and finally when he was going out with his car, he crashed with the wall....
When people came to see, two bodies were found : Nandini's who was smashed by his car, and another was his. 
Everyone was waiting for both but none of them returned. With the end of Puja, drinking ended two lifes forever......
